Programs
The Red Cross Stay Safe Course is delivered by a Certified Red Cross Instructor in a 6hr Workshop at the Dorchester Arena (2066 Dorchester Rd.) . Participants aged 9-12 will work through applicable and age appropriate safety, awareness, and first aid skills with a goal of increasing confidence in their abilities to keep themselves safe, and their knowledge of how to respond when faced with challenges and emergencies.
The course includes a Stay Safe Workbook and a Canadian Red Cross Stay Safe Certificate upon completion. Topics include Safety at Home and in the Community, Hazard Identification, Fire Safety, Safe Decision Making, and Basic First Aid Skills.
The Stay Safe Course builds towards future industry recognized Canadian Red Cross certifications like the Babysitter Course (Ages 11+), and First Aid & CPR (ages 14+). Reach out to Laura at training@bgclondon.ca learn more, and to inquire about other Red Cross Courses offered through BGC London.
